London store relocation

We are relocating our London store as part of the London Bridge station redevelopment.

On Your Bike is moving from underneath the arches in Tooley Street to The Vaults, Montague Close, adjacent to London Bridge and Borough Market.

The new site, in the shadow of Southwark Cathedral, will enable us to continue to offer our customers an extensive range of quality brand bikes and clothing.

The Vaults store will house a large workshop for maintenance and repair of all makes of bike, and one of the largest fleets of bicycles for hire and rental in London.

Relocation will take place in stages, with our cycle hire and workshop operations starting at the new site at the end of November, 2012.

Retail sales and bike fitting will open in Montague Close in early January, 2013. The Tooley Street store will close on 20th January, 2013 to make way for a new main entrance to London Bridge station.

Robert Chappell, On Your Bike's owner, commented: "The message to all our customers is that it's business as usual. By relocating in phases we will be able to achieve a seamless crossover to the new site and ensure that customers aren't inconvenienced.

It is vitally important for us to stay in the London Bridge area and Montague Close is only a two minute cycle ride away from our existing operations. Opening the new store in what will be On Your Bike's 30th year of trading is an exciting opportunity for us to build on our reputation for offering excellent choice and unrivalled expertise."

The new store will see four disused arches under London Bridge transformed into 10,000 sq ft of retail, workshop and office space.

On sale will be quality bike brands such as Brompton, Trek, Whyte, Cannondale, Marin, Ridgeback, Wilier, Eddy Merckx and Airnimal, plus clothing from Endura, Altura, Northwave, Gore and Pearl Izumi, and extensive ranges of parts and accessories.

Bikes will be able to be hired by the day or week for commuting and sightseeing, with road bikes also available for charity rides and sportif events. And On Your Bike's expert mechanics will continue to offer standard-setting servicing and repairs.

Redevelopment of London Bridge station is the final part of the 6 billion government-funded Thameslink Programme to ease congestion for rail users.
