The Thule WanderWay T6 two-bike hanging trunk bike rack is a premium rear-mounted carrier designed specifically for the Volkswagen T6, offering a secure, stable and vehicle-specific solution for transporting bikes. Fully pre-assembled and engineered for a dedicated fit, it mounts quickly and easily with no complicated setup required.
Designed for flexibility, the WanderWay T6 carries two bikes as standard and can be expanded to transport up to four bikes using optional third and fourth bike adapters (sold separately). The raised rack position ensures that rear lights and the number plate remain visible, maintaining safety and compliance while driving.
Loading bikes is straightforward thanks to detachable bike arms fitted with lockable Thule AcuTight torque-limiter knobs, which click when the optimal tightening force is reached. Adjustable rails slide from side to side to create space between bikes, while wheel holders with pump buckles make securing tyres quick and easy.
When not in use, the platform folds vertically against the boot, reducing vehicle length and improving practicality. The rack also allows access to the vehicle boot when no bikes are mounted, adding everyday convenience.
Integrated locks secure bikes to the rack, helping reduce the risk of theft. For additional security, Thule recommends using a cable lock or wheel strap locks, especially when leaving bikes unattended.
