The Estarli e28.X Step Through is a stylish, comfortable and remarkably easy-to-ride electric bike designed for commuting, leisure riding and everyday journeys. With its accessible step-through frame, smooth belt drive and automatic gearing, the e28.X takes the complication out of cycling and lets you concentrate on enjoying the ride.
Designed, assembled and built in the UK, the e28.X combines a lightweight 6061 aluminium frame with a relaxed riding position and adjustable cockpit. The step-through design makes getting on and off the bike easier, making it an excellent choice for busy urban journeys, regular commuting and relaxed weekend rides.
One of the standout features of the e28.X is its low-maintenance belt drive. With no traditional chain to lubricate and no conventional derailleur to worry about, the system runs smoothly and quietly while helping to keep everyday maintenance to a minimum.
The 250W Bafang hub motor features automatic internal gearing, allowing the bike to select the appropriate gear as you ride. This makes tackling changing speeds and gradients simple and intuitive, while up to 50Nm of torque provides useful assistance when accelerating or climbing hills.
An intelligent torque sensor measures your pedalling input and adjusts the motor assistance accordingly, creating a smooth and natural riding experience. Five power assistance modes allow you to choose how much support you need, whether you're conserving battery on a longer journey or looking for additional assistance on a more demanding section.
The removable Samsung 360Wh battery offers a claimed range of approximately 60–90km, depending on riding conditions, terrain, assistance level and rider weight. When it is time to recharge, the battery can be removed from the bike for convenient charging at home or work.
Comfort is supported by the upright Dutch-style handlebars, adjustable stem and suspension, helping smooth out less-than-perfect roads and cycle paths. Hydraulic disc brakes provide dependable stopping power, while integrated high-lumen front and rear lights improve visibility throughout the year.
This version is supplied with a practical rear rack, adding useful carrying capacity for commuting and everyday journeys. Combined with integrated aluminium mudguards, puncture-protected 700C tyres and the step-through frame, it makes the e28.X a highly practical alternative to the car for many everyday trips.
