The Whyte Sythe RS is a hard-charging enduro mountain bike built for riders who thrive on steep descents, rough terrain and high-speed technical trails. Combining a robust alloy frame, premium suspension components and progressive geometry, the Sythe RS delivers exceptional control, confidence and capability when the trail gets demanding.
Designed around Whyte's advanced Quad-Link 4 suspension platform, the Sythe RS provides 170mm of front travel and 160mm of rear travel through a RockShox Lyrik Ultimate RC2 fork and RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate RC2 rear shock. The custom-tuned suspension delivers outstanding traction, stability and support, helping riders maintain speed and control through rock gardens, roots, drops and technical descents.
The hydroformed 6061 T6 alloy frame is engineered for durability and performance, making it ideal for year-round riding and bike park abuse. Whyte's proportional sizing philosophy ensures every rider benefits from balanced handling, optimised weight distribution and a consistent ride feel across all frame sizes. Versatility is built into the frame thanks to Whyte's Shape.It Link flip-chip system. Riders can switch between high and low geometry settings to tailor handling characteristics to terrain and riding style. The low setting maximises stability and descending performance, while the high setting improves pedal clearance and efficiency for longer rides and varied terrain.
The Sythe RS comes equipped with a mixed-wheel mullet setup, featuring a 29-inch front wheel and 27.5-inch rear wheel. This configuration combines excellent rollover capability with agile handling and playful performance. For riders seeking maximum speed and stability, compatible medium, large and extra-large frames can be converted to a full 29-inch wheel configuration using Whyte's dedicated Shape.It Link system.
Powering the bike is SRAM's Eagle S100 12-speed drivetrain, offering a wide 10-52T gear range for conquering steep climbs and fast descents. Powerful TRP EVO Expert four-piston hydraulic disc brakes with large 203mm rotors provide dependable stopping performance in all weather conditions, while the frame-size-specific TranzX dropper post allows riders to maximise movement and control on technical terrain.
