The 40-Series is the work-horse of Cane Creek's headset line-up. The series incorporates all the features necessary for a durable, lightweight, long-lasting headset and represents the perfect balance of performance, durability and value.Suitable for any type of bike including road, gravel, and MTB. The new ZN40 bearings are zinc-coated, machined steel cartridge bearings with hardened steel balls. This new material is much more corrosion-resistant, which vastly increases the longevity of the 40 series headsets.Machined from 6061 T-6 Aluminium, the headset features an innovative Clip-Seal that completely seals the top assembly and captures the compression ring to reduce the number of loose parts. It also includes high-quality, low-friction face-seals and a durable steel crown race.The headset is compatible with interlock spacers and has an upper/lower stack of 9/1mm. It comes in a sleek black color and weighs 71g. The headset is covered by a 1-year warranty (excluding bearings).
