Tern Node D8 FOLDING BIKE

The Node D8 is the workhorse of our Around-Town bike family. With big wheels, comfortable tires, and swept-back handlebars, it’s as comfortable and solid as a Dutch city-bike, but it folds down small—in 10 seconds flat.

OCL+™ FRAME JOINT

A heavy-duty update to our iconic OCL frame hinge, the OCL+ is built to exceed ISO 4210 and EN 15194 testing requirements. Leveraging the hinge design of the long-tail Tern Cargo Node, the OCL+ features a single-shaft design, advanced welding techniques, and robust gussets, so it stays stiff and strong during even the fastest commutes.

PHYSIS™ 3D HANDLEPOST

Five patented technologies and unique manufacturing technology add up to the strongest, stiffest folding handlepost available. The Physis uses a special manufacturing process called 3D forging, which forms the post from a single piece of aluminum, eliminating all welds.

ANDROS™ STEM

The Andros is our patented adjustable stem that lets you set your handlebars where you want—no tools, no fuss. In just seconds, you can set your riding position to long and low in a tough headwind, or upright and comfy for riding around town. You decide how you want to ride and the Andros makes your bike fit.

SWEPT-BACK HANDLEBARS

When you ride around the city, you want to take it all in. Our swept-back handlebars let you sit comfortably upright so you can see everything that goes by. And a more natural grip position is extra kind on your wrists.

VELO ERGONOMIC LOCKON GRIPS

ErgoLock grips are nice and wide for excellent palm support so your hands can relax during the ride. They also lock in place on the handlebars so they’re always in the correct position, unlike non-locking grips which tend to rotate out of position.

SCHWALBE BIG APPLE TIRES

Big Apples are special because they’re fast rolling AND super comfy. Sounds hard to believe but you’ll just have to take them for a ride to become a believer.

FREELANCE™ FENDERS

The Freelance Fenders have a hidden rear stay design to keep the design of the bike clean and uncluttered. But good looks wouldn’t mean much unless they did a great job of keeping road spray off you. And that’s just what they do.
